Purchased a vehicle which had transmission issues within the first week of purchasing. Dealer will not honor the 15 day/500 miles warranty which is state law. Refuses to repair the vehicle even after it was verified by a technician there that the transmission has failed.

Thought long and hard on this review. The dealer ship will lie and tell you what you want to hear to buy . They will also tack on extra warranty and not tell you about it. * which you can cancel* . Also there "cpo" charge is something they will come down on first. Do not pay that because you do not need to. The service department is always pleasant to deal with. They welcome me each time and go over what needs to be done. They keep me updated while I wait and explain the repairs that are found to be done. Checking out is extremely simple too!

Brought my vehicle in for oil change and tire rotation. Did not receive tire rotation and they didn’t even check the air in my tires. Every tire had a different pressure varying +\- 5 lbs.

This dealership has always been the best in their service. This last time they were able to coordinate the replacement of a windshield along with normal service that was due. It consolidated my time very efficiently into a single visit and all done in a reasonable time frame. That being stated there was some miscommunication between the parts department and the the service area, I had to pay for the windshield upfront before they would order it, but that info was not known to the service writer, he looked into it and corrected the error. After negotiating the price of a certified pre-owned Subaru down to where I would agree to buy, the sales manager, Jeff, steps in and says there would be a $750 additional fee tacked on to the listed price for a "certified pre-owned inspection" and then refused to budge on the price, claiming that dealers do not negotiate with prices now that they list cars online. They solved my problem with the battery going dead after a week of not using the car. It turned out that two of the batteries were defective, and they replaced it with a third battery. So far I have had not problem with this battery. They were very helpful and considerate.

I have been taking my Foresters to Napleton Subaru in Schaumburg, IL for the past 8 years. I have had nothing short of an excellent experience there. I normally work with my service advisors, Keith and Nate. Both are thorough and personable. They keep in informed via text – very convenient and efficient. Walk away from this dealership.. They try to deceive you by saying rock bottom with no negotiation. Be very firm and ask for open disclosure!! I had bad experience with one of sales person including the manager. They indicated they found my preapprocal letter code which was uncalled for. I refused to let them run the credit report and financing since Chase Bank is really high. Be cautious they are affiliated wirh Napleton of Arlington Heights too so their cars get moved. I arrived at around 4:50pm and waited in the service bay while the only customer service that was there made small talk with another customer, completely ignoring me. Only after the paperwork was signed and I was taking delivery was I notified that I was being given only 1 key for the car.
I was given assurance that they would find the other keys. A few days later I followed-up and was told not only hadn't the keys been located, but I was now responsible for getting additional keys at a cost of $150+ per key.

Never a problem with their sales people. I do however have to say beware of the service department. I had service change oil and check car prior to trip. After driving 6 hours I heard a loud pop. The oil drain plug came loose in Missouri. Napleton service obviously never torqued it down properly. This meant a tow by AAA. No Subaru dealers in area so was taken to GMC dealer. Bought a 2005 BMW X3 preowned from this dealership, 300miles later the transmission went. bougHt the car for 4,500 and a bmw transmission is basically the same price. Needless to say I got scammed.
My son and I went for 2018 but all Subaru were recalled so we end up with 2019 outback.
Love love it. All the perks no complaints about it.

Good service, my battery needed to be replaced and it's a new car. I pulled into the wrong spot and some guy who works there was not happy. I guess he had not had his morning coffee. Other than that, the experience was fine
They are more interested in getting the deal rather than service their customers. The workmanship is sloppy and below industry standards. When they put the new license plates on the van they couldn't figure out how to remove them so they left them and used sheet metal screws above them. They also were unwilling to repair the switch to open the hatchback of the van. I fixed it for $11.00 don't get sucked in by how great a vehicle with them.
We drove many hours from Michigan for a car they had. Come to find out it didn’t have a title! Called the dealership numerous times and they delayed filing for a duplicate title and refused to issue me another temporary plate since mine expired. It’s ridiculous that they dropped the ball like this and refuse to fix it! They had the car on their lot of six months and didn’t bother getting a title. They sold a car with no title. Absolutely ridiculous. I’m spreading the word how bad our experience was.
